In this article, we will explain how to adjust your Shift Check In Bot settings to confirm attendance. This bot can be customized or disabled completely from Configuration - Settings - Worker Communication - Shift Check In Bot.

Active

You can toggle Shift Check In Bot on or off by using the Active toggle. If inactive, all further settings will be off.

Customize Shift Check In Bot

When you toggle this on, you will be able to adjust the further settings. If inactive, all further settings will be off.

If Customize Shift Check In Bot is off, by default, the system will email workers 3 days before the start of an event and the admins 1 day before the event.

To enable text message notifications to workers, ensure Customize Shift Check In Bot is toggled on.

Send text messages along with email

Decide if your workers and admins receive information via email only, or via notification / SMS too. If toggled off, Shift Check In Bot will only be sent by email.

You can customize the timing of these messages by adjusting the following sliders:

Email admins a summary of Shift Check Ins before each event

Adjust how long before an event you would like admins to receive an email summary of how many workers have checked in or not checked in.

Workers are sent the Shift Check Ins asking them to check in

Adjust how many days before the event you would like workers to receive the Shift Check In Bot message.

The two sliders are additive. For example, if the top slider is set to 1 day and the second slider is set to 2 days, workers will receive the message 3 days before the event and the email summary will go out 1 day before the event.
