Time Punches

Track the hours worked, for better control of wages as part of Time Tracking.

Time punches are used to track the hours workers have completed, which are essential for calculating wages.

Workers:

  • Can submit, view, edit, and delete time punches through the Worker Calendar on both desktop and mobile browsers, as well as the Mobile App.

  • Note: The ability for workers to manage time punches can be enabled or disabled based on your company settings. For details, refer to Time Punch Settings.

Reviewers and Time Tracking Managers:

  • Can submit or change time punches on the day of the event and the following day using the Mobile App.

Admins:

  • Can add, edit, or delete time punches using desktop, mobile browser, or the Mobile App.

Submitting Time Punches

Workers can submit time punches in two locations:

  1. Worker Calendar

    • Accessible via desktop or mobile browser.

    • After logging in, workers are directed to their homepage where they can click Go to Calendar to access their calendar.

Workers can submit time punches by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Calendar:

    • Click on the current day or the previous day.

  2. Add Time Punch:

    • Scroll down and click the + button to the right of the "Time Punches" section.

Select the time and click Add.

Multiple time punches will show as below on the calendar.

Time Punches will be Pending until an admin approves them through the Time Tracking Module. Once they are approved, they will appear as below.

Any Pending or Approved time punches can be edited or deleted - click the wrench on the right side, input changes and click "Submit"

Next, it will appear as Pending Change.

To delete a punch, click the wrench, Click Delete & OK.

When a worker has deleted, it will appear as Pending Delete - deletions do not need to be approved.

  • Mobile App

  1. Access Current Shifts:

    • From the homepage, tap Current Shifts to view all your active shifts.

  2. Submit a Punch-In:

    • When it is time to clock in, tap Submit Punch In to record your start time.

If you have enabled the Pre-Punch Questionnaire, the worker will be prompted to answer the questions and then tap Submit at the bottom of the page.

If a selfie is required, the worker will need to upload a photo before they can clock in.

To clock out, the worker simply taps Submit Punch Out when they start their break or finish their shift.

Similar to punching in, if required, the worker will need to submit a picture.

At the end of the shift, workers can sign off on their time punches by tapping Sign Hours. The system will prompt them to confirm the punch - additional time punches cannot be added after signing.

Workers can add optional notes. If Custom Legal Acknowledgment is used, the worker must check the acknowledgment box before tapping Next.

Next step, the phone will rotate and allow the worker to sign & tap Submit.

Reviewer & Event Time Tracking Manager Adding Time Punches:

On the Mobile App, the Reviewer or Event Time Tracking Manager can add time punches in Manage Time Tracking.

From here, they can see a list of events that they have been assigned to review and to add/view time punches for.

From this page, they can view a summary showing how many workers have punched in and out, and how many workers have not yet recorded any punches.

Adding a time punch

Time punches can be added to a worker under their name and tap Add Punch:

From there, add the date and time and tap Done, followed by Submit Punch.

The submitted punch will appear as shown below.

Editing a time punch

Time punches can be edited by tapping the blue wrench, entering the new time and tapping submit change & confirm.

Deleting a time punch

Deleting a time punch is done simply by clicking the red trash can and confirm by clicking Delete Punch.

Admins/Owners Adding Time Punches

Admins and Owners can add time punches through both the Desktop and Mobile Browser in various locations:

On the Event

  1. Edit the Event: Navigate to the event you want to edit.

  2. Add Time Punches: Click on the worker's name, then select Add Punch to enter or adjust time punches for that worker.

From this page, you can:

  1. Add Date: Enter the date for the time punch (the event date is selected by default).

  2. Enter Time: Input the time for the punch in hours and minutes, and select AM or PM.

  3. Override Max Shift Time: If needed, you can override the default maximum shift time set in your Time Punch Settings for this entry.

You can add multiple time punches for the same worker by repeating the above steps. Additionally, you have the option to:

  • Delete a Punch: Click the yellow X next to the punch.

  • Edit a Punch: Click the wrench icon next to the punch.

Every worker must have an even number of time punches at the end of their shift.

To quickly add time punches for multiple workers:

  1. Navigate to Time Tracking: On the event edit page, find the first skillset.

  2. Click Time Tracking: This option is located to the right of Shifts.

  3. Add Time Punches: Follow the same steps as you would for individual workers to add time punches in bulk.

Time Tracking Module

Admins with Time Tracking capabilities and Owner-level accounts can add time punches through the Time Tracking Module.
