Whenever a change is made to a shift or an event these notifications are letting the worker know the newest updates.

To whom are they sent?

Emails/text messages or push notifications can be sent to everyone who is assigned to the shift/event. A summary email will be sent to the reviewer.

Only the workers who have been affected by the change will receive an update notification. This means, that if a shift had a time change, only that shift workers will be contacted - not the whole event.

When are they sent?

Shift update notifications will be sent 15 minutes after the last edit.

This way you can make a large number of changes and not worry about flooding your workers with notifications.

That basically means that the system will automatically send one notification, exactly after 15 minutes after doing the last modification.

How are they sent?

The notifications are sent out by email, push notification and/or text messages if push notifications are not available. When sent by a text message shift, event or location comments won't be included.

You can even restrict text messages to only be sent within several days of an event - in other words, you can set that the text message notifications will be sent only if the shift occurs in a certain period of time.

You can easily change your Shift Update Notification settings in Shift Update Notifications - Settings.
