Roosted supports the ability to sync your Roosted calendar with your personal calendar, whether is Google Gmail, Apple, or any iCal-compatible calendar or device.

To enable calendar syncing:

  • Go to Configuration - Settings - Worker Interaction - Calendar Sync.

  • Enable the items as needed

Once enabled, users can set up calendar synchronization individually. To do this, click on the Profile icon in the upper right corner and select the Calendar Sync tab. You can choose to sync either the Worker Calendar, the Admin Calendar, or both.

The information synced to the workers' calendar includes:

  • Event Name

  • Shift Start & End Time

  • Venue (including any venue comments)

  • Event Comments

  • Shift Comments

What’s the difference between the Worker Calendar and the Admin Calendar?

  • Worker Calendar: This calendar displays only the shifts assigned to you. It allows workers to sync their specific shifts to their personal calendar, providing a focused view of their scheduled work.

  • Admin Calendar: This calendar syncs all company events to an admin’s personal calendar. It provides a comprehensive overview of all events, including shifts for all workers.

Information synced to the Admin Calendar includes:

  • Event Name

  • List of Workers (with shift start and end times)

  • Venue (including venue comments)

  • Event Comments

  • Shift Comments

Please note:

The update frequency of your personal calendar depends on the service you use, so the information may not always be up-to-the-minute. For instance, Google and Gmail calendars may be updated with a delay of up to 12 hours, while Apple calendars tend to refresh more frequently. For the most current and real-time information, always recommend that workers check the Roosted app directly.
