What are the Custom Fields?

Custom fields are used to track additional information - they can be understood as a requirement that you may have for your Workers, Events, or Clients.

They can be added, edited & deleted in Configuration - Settings - Custom Fields.

Workers

There are multiple uses for Custom Fields for Workers - you can request certificates, tests, or licenses. Only workers with those added to their profiles will be able to work particular event.

Worker Editable - allows a worker to make a change - for example, whether they have covid test or not.

Please see Worker Profile - Desktop & Worker Profile - Mobile App for more information.

Useable for Rules - indicates if the custom field will be possible to use while creating a rule, which is another way of filtering worker's requirements.

Please see Rules for more information

Creating a worker Custom field

Various types of custom fields can be added to a worker.

  • Single Line Text (Basic Input) - typically Employment ID's, Payroll Numbers, hourly wage

  • Multiple Line Text (Paragraph) - explanation or description from or about the worker.

  • Date - license expiration dates such as TIPS bartending expirations, Medical licenses etc. This custom field is particularly powerful it can automatically send an email to HR & the employee, 30 days before expiration or at the date itself.

  • Dropdown - uniform sizes, yes & no answers (i.e can drive carpool) & more.

  • File -licenses or certificates. If it is Worker Editable, your worker can upload the documents directly for specific custom fields created.

Events & Clients

Here we can create Single Line Text (Basic Input) or Multi Line Text (Paragraph Style). It can be used to keep track of additional information on an event or client.

Event & Client Custom Fields can be viewable to workers or not.

Adding a Custom Field
