Why Can't a Worker See Certain Shifts?

Who gets to see the shifts first?

Not every worker sees the same view of available shifts in Roosted. The system shows each shift to the workers it deems the best fit first.

This means your highest-rated and most senior workers will see shifts before others. If no one signs up, the shift opens up to more staff.

How Roosted Judges

Roosted considers several factors when showing available shifts to a worker:

  • Seniority: How many shifts has the worker completed?

  • Star Rating: Higher-rated workers will see shifts before lower-rated ones.

  • Skillset: The worker must have the necessary skills for the job to appear in their available shifts.

  • Availability: Ensure the worker has marked themselves as available if using the availability system.

  • Time Off: Ensure the worker hasn't requested or been approved for time off if using the time off system.

It is highly recommended not to use the Availability system as workers need to all have entered the correct availability to see certain shifts.

If you discover that no workers can see any shifts, please check your settings in Configuration -> Settings -> Worker Interaction -> Availability
