In this article, we will go through the Request to Work feature.

What is it?

The Request Manager helps manage shift requests from workers and can be enabled or disabled through company settings. To access the Request Manager:

  1. Go to the blue Admin bar.

  2. Click on "Scheduling."

  3. Select "Request Manager."

On the Request Manager page, you'll see a weekly view of shift requests, starting with the current week, and beginning on Monday. To view the following week, click the calendar and select the desired week, or use the blue arrows to navigate forward.

You can choose to show requests by Shift Date, Worker Name, Location or Event by clicking and selecting from the dropdown to the right of the blue arrows.

When you expand a request by clicking the blue box, you'll see detailed information including:

  • Name: The name of the worker who requested the shift.

  • Event: The name of the event.

  • Skillset: The skillset required for the shift.

  • Remaining Spots: Indicates how many spots are still available. For example, if 4 workers are needed and 2 spots are open, it will show as 2/4.

  • Shift Time: The date and time of the shift.

  • Location: The venue where the event is being held.

  • Submitted: The date and time when the request was submitted.

  • Request Comments: Any comments the worker has included. Note that workers can add comments based on your company settings.

Accepting a Shift Request:

To accept a shift request, click the blue tick next to the worker's name and then click "Confirm."

When you accept a worker for the last open spot and other workers have requested the same shift, the system will prompt you to choose whether to leave the remaining workers as backups or reject their requests.

For more details, please refer to the section on Alternates.

Rejecting a Shift Request:

To reject a shift request, click the red X next to the worker's name and then click "Reject."

Shift requests are shifts that workers have asked to take on. You can enable or disable this feature through your settings. To find and adjust shift request settings:

  1. Access Settings:

    • From the blue admin bar on the left side, click on Configuration.

    • Select Settings.

    • Click on Shift Options, and you'll find Shift Request at the very top.

Depending on your company settings, workers can receive a text message when their request is either accepted or rejected.

Please see Shift Requests to find the full list of company settings.
