How to directly assign workers to your shifts?

In this article, we will explain how you add workers directly to open shifts.

When you are on the Main Event Page, when viewing open slots, choose 'Click To Fill' button. It will show how many workers are available to fill this position.

On the next page, select the workers you would like to fill this position with by clicking on them.

You can select multiple workers if you have more than 1 open spot.

If using Shift Limits, you will be able to see how many hours/shifts each worker has been scheduled for including any hours/shifts as an alternate and if they will exceed that limit, it will appear as shown below.

As an admin, you can override and schedule a worker even if it exceeds their limit.

You will also see a complete list of workers with the required skillset for open shifts.

If a worker is already booked on another shift or has a time-off conflict, their name will appear in pink with a symbol next to it.

Admins with scheduling editing capabilities and Owner-level accounts can override these conflicts and 'double-book' workers if necessary.

Once you have selected the worker to fill the open position, click "Add Selected" to assign them to the shift.

Once you have done this, the worker will appear in the previous open slot like shown below.

If the shift has been published, the worker will receive an email, push notification/text to say that they have been added to this shift, and if the shift is not yet published, they will receive the notification when you click publish.

See Shift Publishingfor more information.
