When first creating / importing workers

When you create a new worker, they will get an email letting them know they've been added to your account, along with a password to use for logging in.

If you are importing workers, you will need to onboard them by sending an email or text message with information on how to log in for the first time and instructions on using the system. See Onboarding for more information.

Worker / Shift & Admins Comments

When you create an event, there are several different ways you can add comments for workers or admins.

On the Main Event Page, you can add event comments for workers by clicking ADD EVENT COMMENTS FOR WORKERS which opens a comment box. Here you can type information into this box or use a Comment Template.

This comment will be only available for the workers at the event.

You can do the same for specific skillsets in the Shift Comments. Below each skillset (shift) you can see a comment box where you can add information or a Comment Template.

After adding a comment manually, always click on UPDATE EVENTS COMMENTS FOR WORKERS or UPDATE SHIFT COMMENTS to save it.

You can also add comments for admins only - click ADD EVENT COMMENTS FOR ADMINS and remember to save the comment UPDATE EVENT COMMENTS FOR ADMINS when you're ready!

These comments are visible ONLY to the admins!

Announcements & Chats

Announcements & Chats are a way of communicating with your workers. Please see Announcements & Chats for more information

Sign-Up Bot

Our favorite robot is called Sign Up Bot. It will automatically reach out to your workers to fill empty shifts through push notifications or text messages. Please see Sign-Up Bot for more information.

Shift Check-In Bot

Shift Check-In Bot is designed to reduce no-shows and late arrivals by asking your workers to check in online before their shifts, just like for a flight. Roosted can email and text your workers in advance and ask them to Check-In. Please see Shift Check-In for more information.

Text Message (Push Notifications)

There are several Push Notifications/Text Messages options that you enable or disable on your account - you can control what is sent to your workers. Please see Text Message Notifications for more information.

Documents

Documents are an important way you can communicate with your workers. You can upload documents to events, a worker profile, upload company documents, and more. Please see Document Uploading for more information!

Please check our Youtube playlist where you can find multiple useful tips on all topics explained in this article!
